Breaking Silence: My Secret Life, and Why I’m Still a Holocaust Revisionist

David Cole

Audio CD. Two disc set. 126 mins.

Stock Number: C104

David Cole breaks 18 years of silence to speak publicly for the first time about his challenges, achievements and mishaps during the 1990s, and his remarkable new career under an assumed name. His articulate presentation at a special IHR meeting in southern California on Feb. 22, 2014, is packed with colorful anecdotes, humorous asides and eye-opening insights. This two-disc IHR recording includes an introduction by Mark Weber, and the meeting’s lively question-and-answer session.

Cole explains how and why he became a skeptic of the standard Holocaust narrative, and he vividly recalls the campaign of physical violence and threats against him by the extremist Jewish Defense League. He also explains that he stands by what he said and wrote during the 1990s about Auschwitz and the Holocaust.

During the 1990s Cole made headlines as a controversial Jewish “Holocaust denier. He played a high-profile role in the global controversy on the role and function of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp complex during World War Two, and the extent to which it was a center of mass killings. He made a widely viewed video of his 1992 visit to the camp site (available from the IHR) that exposes some of the deceit and fakery of the familiar Holocaust narrative. He presented his provocative views on national television, including appearances on the popular “Phil Donahue” and “Montel Williams” shows.

In response to new JDL threats against his life, and a $25,000 bounty on his head, Cole decided to leave Holocaust revisionism. In 1998, he began a new career under an assumed name as a Republican Party activist and conservative commentator. His work under his new identity (“David Stein”) was carried by every major conservative organ in the U.S. Until he was “outed” in May 2013, he also ran one of the largest GOP organizing operations on the West Coast, “Republican Party Animals.”
