How and why are Europeans, and the peoples of European origin around the world, different than others? In this insightful and exhaustively researched work, Prof. MacDonald examines how the peoples of western and northern Europe come to be so different than other peoples of the world. This important book also does much to explain why white Americans and Europeans now seem to be embracing their own racial and cultural destruction.

The author is a retired professor of psychology who has written extensively, and courageously, on cultural-racial group dynamics. Environmental, cultural and biological-genetic factors, he shows, have all played roles in making Europeans, and white Americans, who they are. The peoples of western and northern Europe, he explains, are unusually altruistic. They are more inclined than others to do what they regard as “fair,” “right” and “moral” -- even at the cost of their own interests.

Individualism, he shows, has always been an integral part of northern European cultures. For centuries European societies were characterized by an “aristocratic individualism,” which was also meritocratic. In recent centuries, though, that ethos has given way to an “egalitarian individualist” ideology of social leveling and liberal democracy. The altruism of Europeans, including white Americans, has been turned against them, putting them on the path to cultural-racial obliteration.
